Amy Happ
A professional project manager with seven years' experience in the management development and e-learning industry, Amy has worked as a department manager, business development consultant, project manager, and instructional designer for various consulting engagements, curriculum development initiatives, and technology enabled learning projects. With knowledge of instructional design and learning methodologies, Amy has consulted with numerous clients to develop computer simulations modeling their business, role-play exercises that hone key employee skills, as well as create entire classroom seminars that meet skill-related objectives.

When working with large corporations to develop technology-enabled training, Amy applies a development process that includes the creation or confirmation of a needs analysis through high-level interviews, graphic and systematic design of the end solution, development of the technology, and implementation and evaluation of the end product. Over the past several years Amy has worked with project teams of 2 - 30 people to design and develop over 25 computer-based simulations, online tutorials and application exercises, classroom seminars with role-plays and group activities as well as self-paced workbooks and computerized tools.

In Amy's work there is always a focus on applying the fundamentals and best practices of project management, whether it be in the planning and scheduling of project tasks, monitoring risks and scope changes, dealing with conflict, ensuring communication to exceed customer expectations, or managing team member development and growth.

Specific content areas in which Amy has worked and done extensive research include consultative selling skills, leadership and project management. In addition Amy has worked extensively with the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry as well as consumer products, retail, and professional services.

June 2001, Xerox Directed the customization of industry overview courses for European salesforce
June 2001, EMC Directed the creation of online training for the salesforce in both the financial services and manufacturing industries.
March 2001, Enron Directed knowledge management project, creating a series of simulations intended to capture the business process and individual roles within the process.
March 2001, IBM Directed the creation of an e-business web site portal to deliver a series of e-business simulations to executives.
June 2000, Federated Dept. Stores Designed and developed leadership/financial management simulation for merchant executives as part of a 4-day classroom engagement.
January 1999/2000,
GlaxoSmithKline
Managed and co-developed Excel decision-making models for pharmaceutical product manager to assist first in identifying a price point for the product and later in allocating promotional marketing budget.
October 1999,
Boehringer Ingelheim
Managed and designed drug development orientation computer simulation for new employees.
June 1999, Aventis Directed and co-managed consulting engagement to research therapeutic category to design competitive simulation. As part of project, recommended that the company not pursue a specific product given current landscape, competitors and limited window for success. Company took this advice and abandoned project.
February 1999, Aventis Designed and developed a series of three computer-based simulations around pharmaceutical product over course of the product's launch year to focus on product strategy, selling strategy, and advanced selling methods.
January 1999,
Dayton Power & Light
Co-created series of three 1-day workshops around consultative selling and strategic account planning.

Consumer Products Co.
Managed and created series of two classroom seminars and four post-seminar workshops around calling on executive and selling strategic initiatives.
